It is a very hardy plant and lasts a long time in flower. —If I were to call the fraxin- ellas "stinking, sticky things," folks might think me crazy, but that's my opinion of them anyway, and I've been growing them for the past twenty-five years; yes, they are good showy border plants, everlasting in their life, but as cut flowers I have no use for them. The plants are neat but vigorous, and without the erratic wandering nature of some of the other species, and the flowers are handsome and well fitted for cutting.
