Rhode Island to Receive the CharterMembership Cup IN ORDER to stimulate the company section movementto the greatest possible extent the Electric RailwayJournal has presented to the association a silver cup tobe awarded to the company section organized with thelargest membership. The first to receive it will be theRhode Island Company Section recently organized. The following extracts from a letter sent by theJournal to President J. J. Stanley explain the THE COMPANY SECTION CHARTERMEMBERSHIP CUP In order to encourage the company section movement ofthe American Association, the Electric Railway Journalhas decided to offer a silver cup to be awarded to the sec-tion having the largest number of charter members. Theidea is that the cup should be passed from section to sectionas new sections with larger charter memberships are suc-cessively formed. After conference with Mr. Schreiber,chairman of the committee on company sections, and and Clark of the association office, we have selecteda solid silver cup, standing slightly over 11 in. high withoutthe base and about 15% in. high with the base.
