The ancient ruined city of Bagan archaeological zone, a 26 sq mile area of dusty plains dotted with over 4,000 Buddhist temples dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries. Tourist and worshipers can climb to the top platforms of some temples to view the area from above giving spectacular views especially at dawn and sunset but not before local vendors and artists try to sell them souvenirs trinkets and temple paintings
