140304-N-BD629-231 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Mar. 4, 2014) -- Sailors are sprayed with Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray and complete multiple stations of maneuvers during force protection training aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19). Mesa Verde Sailors and 22nd MEU Marines are deployed supporting maritime security operations, providing crisis response capability, increasing theater security cooperation and a forward naval presence in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
