St Margaret Pattens, church in the City of London. Tower and spire

St Margaret Pattens, church in the City of London. Rebuilt by Christopher Wren between 1685 and 1702, after the Great Fire of London (1666). The needle-like spire rises to some 200 feet, and is echoed in the four obelisks at its base. The accounts show several payments to Nicholas Hawksmoor, suggesting he was responsible for the design.
