5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Jan. 14, 2013) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Brian Adams, from New York, directs an F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Tophatters of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 14 aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). John C. Stennis is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
