Alvarado is recommended for Blackhorse of the Week for hitting the ground running with a long list of tasks to be completed at one of our ammunition activites. After our initial assessment of the yard, residue segregation had become the primary focus for the team. She worked tirelessly to ensure over 1,200 lbs of brass and dunnage was segregated and stored to standard, as well as organizing and leading a three-man detail to tackle the residue mission. Without her leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills this tasking would have taken significantly longer. She continually looks to improve not only herself but those around her. She has also taken time to cross train with our ammunition stock control and accounting specialist in an attempt to broaden her skill set. Her enthusiasm and commitment to the mission is contagious and directly impacts her peers for the better. The Blackhorse of The Week Award is presented to Soldiers that show outstanding service, dedication to duty, and leadership throughout the 300th Sustainment Brigade's area of operations.
