Groves of larch and spruce would thri\-e wherethe elm, the ash, and the oak would shrink and before the south-westerly wind, andwould in time afford shelter wherein the more sturdy and durable trees would grow. Thefine pyramidal Norway fir, and the equally noble and graceful silver fir, are an ornament toany landscape, even to a noblemans park, and might be used to convert the bareunproductive wastes of Anglesey into a somewhat pleasant land.
