After almost 30 years of effort with starts, stops and starting again, the first commuter rail service in the Austin metro area in more than 50 years rolls into downtown Austin from its burgeoning northern suburbs. The Capital Metro Red Line from Leander draws curious riders and eager commuters on its inaugural run.
