Army Spc. Rodrick Filethin, electrician for the 643rd Engineering Company, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and Royal Thai Army Master Sgt. Wirut Buala and Master Sgt. Surasak Chooseang, engineers from the 52nd Engineering Company, 1st Regiment, King’s Guard, have become close friends during exercise Cobra Gold 2016, at Banradbumrung School, Lop Buri, Thailand, Feb. 17, 2016. Filethin has been able to use his diverse experience growing up on the Island of Yap to relate to others and help his fellow Soldiers find commonalities with other cultures. Military members from Thailand, India and the United States spent three weeks to construct a multipurpose building, which was one of six humanitarian civic action sites militaries work together on civic programs during Cobra Gold.
