Alice Freeland Maxwell (1890-1961), US obstetrician. Maxwell graduated from the University of California Medical School, San Francisco, USA, in 1915. She practiced medicine in San Francisco between 1915 and 1947. In 1943 she became associate clinical professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of California Medical School.
