Of distinct oval-round sliape, weighing from 21/2 to iVi lbs. each, with capacity of still larger growth under extra cultivation. Skin dark red in color; flesh white or very light rose-colored; flavor very mild and sweet; a good keeping variety. It grows best in loamy, heavy soil, and must be well worked.
