In 1850, guided by the fingerof Providence, the Baptists came into possession of the College. Duringthe Presidency of Dr. I. N. Urner, an elegant building was erected, and bythe efforts of Rev. E. C. Eager, a cash endowment of $100,000 was number of students grew to more than two hundred.
