ORLANDO, Fla. – Mike Landers, a longtime employee at the Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) who served as dean of students, speaks to students and their guests during the PEO STRI Acquisition Academy Apprentice Program (A3P) graduation ceremony, April 3. A3P is an 11-week program consisting of more than 400 hours of classroom instruction, as well as familiarization trips to military installations. Students in the spring 2023 class had various experience levels ranging from current PEO STRI employees to new government hires. Career fields represented included logistics management specialists, operations researchers, management analysts, budget analysts, financial specialists, computer scientists, electrical engineers, and computer engineers. Following graduation, students will begin a three-year rotational internship program with project managers and project leads across PEO STRI.
