The Flower Festival was a traditional annual festival in Rennes as in many other cities and rural communities, the first dating from the nineteenth century even though other parties utilizing plants are well past. It was mainly a parade of floats making great use of flowers no matter what they represented and the design which competed Rennes. Designed by Jules Ch?ret (1836 ? 1932) was a French painter and lithographer. He worked on everything from theater to advertising.
