Saint Martin de Ré
Aerial view over the harbour of Saint-Martin-de-Ré on the Isle of Rhé in the Charente-Maritime department. Saint-Martin-de-Ré is one of the island's nicest villages. The fortifications of Saint-Martin-de-Ré were erected in the XVIIth century by Vauban to protect the Isle of Rhé from the English invasion forces.
