Aftercoming to this country he first worked for JohnSpedding, in Clifford township, for four months,and later was in the employ of different farmers,lie worked for James Hodgson for six years, andsubsequently rented land in Clifford township forthirty years. At the end of that time he purchasedhis present farm, and has since given his time andattention to its improvement and cultivation withgood results.
