Vases of Dresden porcelain of the mayflower type, withcartels painted with subjects in the Watteau style. Themounts of bronze, cast, chased, and gilt are from the atelierof Jacques Caffieri. (B. 1678. D. 1755.) They are bril-liant examples of the rocaille phase of French eighteenthcentury pair of celadon vases with identical gilt bronze mounts by Cafneriare to be found in the Imperial Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Earlier Style and Period of Louis Quinze.
