The flowers are deliciously fragrant, pure white, star shaped, with long tubes, and measure from one inch to one and one- half inch across. It derives its name "Rain Lily-' from the fact that it re- mains constantly in bloom during rainy weather 5 50 Snowdrops. The little nodding flowers of this well-known plant are generally the first to appear in spring, often rearing their delicate heads above a light covering of enow in early March. They are suitable for pot-cul- ture, but are most effective when planted in clumps on the lawn. Plant in September or October. Any good garden soil will suit them.
