Grillbortzer, of Alexandria, Va., is shipping in some exceptionally fine gardenias. This is his first year in growing these flowers. H. L. Lauscher, formerly with Z. D. Blackistone, but now manager of the store of the Idle Hour Nurseries, at Macon, Ga., was a visitor during the week. C. F. Bahret, who is a large grower of double violets at Poughkeep- sie, N.
