The village with surrounding fields, meadows, farmyards and winding paths retains an old traditional 18th century countryside environment. It is very well preserved although abandoned since1930 (emigration to USA). The last resident died in 1964. Listed as national heritage since 1981 and a nature/culture reserve since 2004.
