Nablus, West Bank, Palestine. 18 February 2022. Clashes occur between Israeli security personnel and Palestinian demonstrators in the West Bank town of Beita near Nablus. Protests in Beita began in May 2021 after numerous attempts by Israeli settlers to take over Palestinian areas on mount Sabih. The outpost in Beita was built without the approval of the Israeli government, and the settlers were evacuated in early July. But the army remains stationed there, guarding the caravans while the Israeli government evaluate the prospect of authorization for the settlement
