There wereseveral utensils connected with this table, all made ofgold, but the purposes they served are not dishes are supposed to have been plates on whichthe shewbread was placed; the bowls, for holding wine,which was poured out as libations in the Holy Place;the spoons or cups, for holding the frankincense, whichwas set on each pile of bread; and the covers, for cover-ing the bowls, and perhaps also for passing over thebread and the frankincense.
