MAYPORT, Fla. (May 5, 2017) – Capt. James R. Midkiff, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), runs for first base during a softball game between the ship’s Wardroom and Second Class Petty Officer Association (SCPOA). The game was held as part of a tournament between the ship’s Wardroom, SCPOA, Chief Petty Officer Association & First Class Petty Officer Association to build camaraderie and morale among the ship’s crew.
