Syringa vulgaris nurseries on Westeinderplassen, at Aalsmeer, North Holland, The Netherlands. Syringa vulgaris (lilac or common lilac) is a species of flowering plant in the olive family Oleaceae. The Westeinderplassen ("West End Lakes") are a complex of lakes belonging mostly to the territory of Aalsmeer ( near Amsterdam ). Their total area is circa 10 km2, making it the largest freshwater body of water in the Randstad area.
