That night he was put into thecommon jail among the other prisoners, where he slept little, butspent the night in prayer. On the next day he was led to the placeof burning in a park without the city. He had but an old gown andshirt to wear, and was barefooted, and he often fell flat on the ground,and prayed. When he was come near to the place, the officer, who was appointedto see the execution done, cried out that the prisoner was one of thosewho marred the queens realm with false doctrine and heresy, where.
