ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 19, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Trevor Philpot, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), participates in an M9 pistol qualification. Philpot serves onboard Nitze as an electronics technician and is responsible for maintaining, repairing and calibrating shipboard electronic equipment. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
