Austrian Defence Minister Norbert Darabos speaks about the appointed new director general of the European Union Military Staff (EUMS) Major-general Wolfgang Wosolsobe during a press conference hold on May 11, 2012 in Vienna. Austria will supportsthe EU Battlegroup (EUBG) from July 1 2012 with 350 soldiers and take over the command of an Combat Service Support Battalion (CSSBn) of the unit and will have at least 1100 soldiers in International missions and the main areas of deployment will remain in the Middle East and West Balkan. Austrian troops will remain deployed beyond 2012 as part of the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon.
