Lucha Libre meaning free fight in Spanish is a term used in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries to refer to a certain form of professional wrestling. Mexico's Lucha Libre is characterized by fighters wearing masks. The sport became a phenomenon in Mexico in the early 1900s and was made popular in the 1940s by the most famous fighter El Santo or The Saint.
