Andahuaylillas Peru - 18 May 2018 San Pedro Ap—stol de Andahuaylillas Church near to Cusco is often refered to as the Sistine Chapel of the Andes, because of its remarkable murals. These are not shown here, though! This started off as a simple image of circular patterns of cobbles outside the church. But then I got adventurous and turned it into something more colorful and abstract, using a combination of Photoshop techniques including multi-layer blending, transformations and gradient mapping. Sometimes this process produces results which are utterly indistinguishable from the original - like this. I hope you like it!
