Glen Cathedral is a termthat seems to have adheredwith some tenacity, but theother water - falls and poolshave almost as many termsas there are different tastesand fancies among the visit-ors ; and names, at best, applyto one feature only of thescene they describe, whereasin each picture there are usu-ally a hundred phases thatrival each other in beauty andinterest. In this strange riftin the rocks the eye shiftsfrom beauty to beauty, frommarvel to marvel, with rest-less delight. The tumblingwater - falls ; the dark, silentpools; the light above reflect-ing from cliff to cliff, andglancing with rich beauty onrock and cascade; the fantas-tic growths
