The tomb of Modestus (first century AD) located in the outskirts of Gadara / Umm Qais. Governorate Irbid, northern Jordan.


This burial cave named also after its owner, and sited a few steps west of the Germani tomb. A five-line Greek inscription is carved within a wreath in the tomb's lintel. It reads: "Lucius Sentius Modestos the Holy Herald of the city".
