If the obstruction cannot be re-moved in this manner, it will be necessary to measurethe height of water in the boiler by the gauge-cocksduring the balance of the trip, and the obstructedgauge-cock repaired on arrival at the terminal, whereit can be bored out after steam has been blown fromthe boiler.
