Foehn is a wind blowing either from south to north or vice versa over the alps. Wether has to be different on both sides of the mountain chain. Cloudy rainy weather on the south side brings nice warm weather on the north side. In high altitude it is very cold and a stormy wind is blowinglike on this image. It creates special storm clouds.
