Under normal conditions the two in-coming lines, or trunk lines, are tied together through thisbreaker, so that in the event of line trouble on either of themit is automaticalh cut free from the switching station whenthe paralleling switch opens. The station is built on the unit principle, so that newlines may be taken care of b5 simply adding a correspondingnumber of bays with auxiliaries, etc.
