Angierwas married on Oct. 30, 1869, to Annie , and they are the parents of four chil-dren, viz.: Laura, wife cf Dr. Wallace E. ANGIER. (Isham) Barrett, came to Lee County in former dying at Amboy in 1868, aged sixty-one years, and the latter in Lamoni. Iowa, inher seventy-eighth year. Mr. Angler owns 230acres of land, which includes his fathers home-stead, and here he has passed the whole ofhis life. He and his wife are members of theBaptist church. EVERETT E. CHASE (deceased), soldier ofthe Civil War, was born in Pawtucket, R. I.,Sept. 27, 1840; came to Amboy, 111., in 185t;.and at first was employed as a clerk andDeputy Postmaster, later becoming a iiartnerof R. H. Mellen in the book and stationerybusiness. In 18fi4 he enlisted in Company A,Eleventh Illinois Volunteer Infantry, servinguntil November, 1865, when he was musteredout at New Orleans. Mr. Chase was a Repub-lican and held various offices, including CityClerk twelve years; Collector of Taxes, twoterms; Mayor of Amboy, two years, and ,Iust-ice of the Peace for many years.
