This supposition,therefore, is absolutely without foundation in facts. Another favoritehypothesis in the etiology of cancer is the influence of heredity, but ithas even less basis in the case of cancer affecting the penis than in the samedisease elsewhere, for only two or three cases are known in which cancerexisted in the parents of an individual afflicted with cancer of the penis.
