This becomes a large well shaped tree when well developed. It makes but few twigs, but its pinnate leaves are so large that it gives ample shade. In early June, large panicles of green flowers, of no beauty, are produced, which are followed by large pods of seeds. It thrives at the seashore, and there also it makes a valuable shade tree. It does well in damp places. It requires severe pruning when transplanted. 3 to 4 ft. Trans $ 35 each $ 2 50 per 10 $15 00 per 200 5 to 6 ft. " 50 " 3 50 " 10 25 00 " 100 6 to 8 ft.
