Abdominal organs, historical anatomical artwork. This ventral (front) view of a dissected abdomen shows several of the organs involved in digestion. The stomach has been removed. Lobes of the liver are at upper left (orange-red) behind the gall bladder (white). The spleen is at upper right (purple-red), and the kidneys lie partially obscured to left and right. The pancreas (white, centre) extends across the front of the abdomen. Short regions of small and large intestine are at upper and lower left (grey).
