A cased pair of percussion pistols, W. König, Magdeburg, circa 1840. Octagonal deeply rifled barrels in 10 mm calibre with patent breeches and fine original bluing. Dovetailed front sights. Rear sights adjustable for elevation. The tangs are numbered "1" and "2" in gold, and the top of each barrel is signed in gold, "W. König in Magdeburg". The percussion locks bear deeply cut floral relief ornamentation. Single set triggers and folding, blued buffers. The cocks bear an open work chiselled dragon.
