Panagia Makrini ("Distant Virgin Mary") is one of the many hidden "jewels" of Samos island, Greece. It is located close to Kalithea village, on the slopes of Kerkis mountain. In order to get there you have to drive for about 4km on a dirt road from Kalithea village and then walk uphill on a path for about 25 minutes.
