Twin telescope, Tulse Hill Observatory. This twin telescope, on an equatorial mount, was operated by the British astronomer William Huggins (1824-1910) at his observatory at his home in Tulse Hill, London, UK. Work carried out by Huggins here included observations of spectral emission and absorption lines. This telescope was made by the Grubb Telescope Company. Artwork from 'A Handbook of Descriptive and Practical Astronomy' (1890, 4th edition, volume II) by British author George Frederick Chambers (1841â1915).
