USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) Jan. 19, 2002 -- The Honorable Gordon R. England, Secretary of the Navy, presents the Meritorious Unit Commendation award to elements of the USS John F. Kennedy Battle Group for their involvement in the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) program. The battle group conducted extensive testing and evaluation of CEC during numerous underway periods over a 13-month period.
