ATLEE BURPEE & CO., DUKE OF ALBANY PEA. Engraved from J^atare, JUalural Size. -THE DUKE OF ALBANY Prior to recommending this new Pea last season we had previously distributed among Pea - growers six thousand packets for trial, upon each of which we printed the following remarks :— Of the many varieties annually introduced of new English Peas, comparatively few suc- ceed in America ; the Duke of Albany Pea, however, we think will prove an exception. Our attention was iirst called to it growing in Germany, where it was remarkably hardy and vigorous in constitution, producing pods of good size, well filled with luscious, large peas. It was of hardy, vigorous growth, and a remarkable cropper. We ordered some of this German-grown seed, and from one year's growth here are very much pleased with it. We think it will prove a valuable main-crop Pea,—more prolific than the Champion of England, and at least equal in flavor. So far as heard from, the Duke of Albany Pea has in every case given excellent satis- faction, and we could publish many testimonials from our customers as to its merits. Price per 2 oz. pkt. 15 cts.; 2 pkts. for 25 cts.; pint 30 cts.; per quart 50 cts., postpaid. New Pea. HEROINE. '^^^^ grand new table Pea originated with Me. Heney ^ EcKFOED, the famous hybridizer of Sweet Peas. It is a medium early, wrinkled Pea of robust growth, uniformly about two and one-half feet high; fine for field culture. It produces most alDundantly long, pointed, well-filled pods, which con- tain from eight to nine large peas of exquisite flavor. Upon its intrinsic merits alone it has fairly leaped into popularity. Per pkt. 15 cts.; per pint 35 cts.; per quart 65 cts., postpaid. New Pea —SHROPSHIRE HERO. This also originated wi^th me. Eck- FOED, and was awarded nrst-clas
