Forearm muscles. Computer artwork of a human arm, showing the flexor carpi muscles (red) of the forearm, and their attachments to the bones of the arm. These muscles originate from the medial epicondyle of the humerus (upper arm bone) and attach via tendons (white) to bones in the wrist and hand. The flexor carpi ulnaris muscle (left, adjacent to the ulna) attaches to the pisiform bone of the wrist. The flexor carpi radialis (right, adjacent to the radius) attaches to metacarpal bones in the hand. Cartilage is shown in the elbow and shoulder joints, but joint ligaments are not shown. The clavicle and scapula are at top.
