Itis a long narrow gorge, through which theCrocodile River winds, the train following itscourse. Some parts of the gorge are extremelynarrow, and the rocks on either side veryprecipitous. It is considered to be one of thefinest bits of scenery in the Transvaal. Weregretted very much when darkness came on inthe neighbourhood of Waterval Boven, wherethe scenery is very beautiful.
