Some parts of the wagons still remain along the old railway track from Charming Creek Coal Mine to New Zealand's coast.

From 1929 until 1958 the coal from Charming Creek Mine was transported along a railway running down through the Ngakawau Gorge descending more than a hundred meters to the main railway along the coast of New Zealand's South Island. Some of the wagons and parts of them still remain along the old railway track.
