Metalworking. Workers using welding equipment in a metalworking workshop. The power for the welding tools is supplied by the nearby Tungu-Kabiri micro-hydroelectric scheme on the slopes of Mt Kenya, Kenya. The hydroelectric power plant uses the power of a river to produce 14 kilowatts of power. For the dam and power plant, see images T130/182-183. For uses of the electricity, see images T807/073 and P980/096-097. Photographed in January 2006.
