The London Millennium Footbridge is a pedestrian only steel suspension bridge linking Bankside with the City of London. Construction began in 1998 and was the first new bridge across the Thames in London since Tower Bridge in 1894. Opened on 10 June 2000 and closed shortly after to cure a wobble effect it was reopened in February 2002 London
