Uponthis, the Xew Hampshire commissioners appointed John Eindge, a mer-chant of Portsmouth, as agent, to present a petition to the King.^-^ Theydetermined to treat no more with Massachusetts. ] The following plan, or map, is a reduced copy of the one accompanyingthe petition of Eindge to_the King and After many delays, a royal order was issued, referring the matter to aboard of commissioners. These commissioners were all such as the NewHampshire agent proposed, five councellors from each of the governmentsof New York, Ehode-Island, & Nova Scotia, With the two former gov-ernments, Massachusetts was then in controversy about lines. The latter,it was said, was disafiected to charter governments. Connecticut, proposedby Massachusetts, was rejected because of a bias from their trade, religion,&c., which New Hampshire was afraid The time .and place for the meeting of the commission, was August10th, at Hampton.
